Summary of Back Space Pass on September, 26, 2021
Hirasawa talked about Dasshutsu-kei Ashu-On, the live show at Fuji Rock Festival 2021
●Greeting, About this program: Back Space Pass
●About 24(Fushi) Mandala concert: It was held because Osaka Festival Hall was luckily available.
●The new drummer, Yuji Rerure Kawaguchi: Hirasawa offered Yuji a job for Fuji Rock 2019 at first, but he was not available because of his other schedule overseas
●Rehearsals near Mt. Tsukuba area and dress rehearsals in Tokyo: Hirasawa had to have the half of the rehearsals in Tsukuba this time because of the traffic restriction in Tokyo for the Tokyo Olympics
●The stage staff had to do the sound checking the day before the show at Fuji Rock because a rehearsal was not possible at Fuji Rock in general (because there is little time between the shows, having continuous event with many bands)
●Hirasawa had some water
●All the musicians including Hirasawa and staff travelled in a big car/bus from Tokyo to Naeba (Fuji Rock venue) that reminded him of old times with P-MOPDEL
●The hotel they stayed at Fuji Rock was 30-minutes drive away from Naeba, where they had onsen and Japanese style tatami rooms.
●About the new guitar: EVO PHYTOELECTRON SEED
●About the new laser harp: He has changed the feature of it slightly to avid error caused by stage lighting
●About the transparent helmet he wore during the intro of the first song
●The bonus songs for the fans: Holland Element and Solid Air (Totsugen-Heni Ver.)
●About the noise trouble happened in the concert: Hirasawa made the cause of the trouble: he apologized.
●He planned to perform the stage movement called "vintage Hirasawa" from 1981 to 1984 P-MODEL (Kikuchi style) during "Destroy" guitar actions, but he could only show the beginning of if because of the noise trouble
●He is too busy on the stage, singing, playing the guitar, playing the laser harp, checking the computer, and stepping on the effect pedals. He wants to omit the effect pedals in some way in the future.
●The background movie this time's BSP was taped in Okinawa during Ejins' meeting. The producer was SSHO.

Susumu Hirasawa: So, I read the original manga to determine if it was something I would undertake. Despite drawing a deep, very heavy and dark worldview without hesitation, I felt that there was something very interesting and sympathetic in the manga, and I was astonished that it had gained so many supporters. So, I made up my mind to undertake to create music for the anime.
Perhaps, regardless of whether Kentaro Miura Sensei gave me some instructions or not, I felt that I could handle it without changing my usual music style.

”About providing music to Berserk for 20 years”
Susumu Hirasawa: I think it's a miracle. The world of entertainment does not consist solely of pure desire for expression. Especially for big projects like Berserk, it takes a lot of money to put the work into shape and publish it. This requires extensive adjustment of interests and sometimes concessions. Under such circumstances, I am surprised and very grateful for the generosity of the staff who still maintain the pure desire for expression between me and Kentaro Miura Sensei.

Susumu Hirasawa: More than a decade ago, I happened to discover my name on Wikipedia in Persian language. I can't read Persian, but at the same time I found the letters Berserk. At that time, I got goosebumps driven by the delusion that I had come to Persia on an amazing ship called Berserk. I'm sure I'm still traveling around the world with Guts without realizing it myself.

平沢進: オファーを頂いた時点ではベルセルクを知りませんでした。私が引き受けられるものなのかどうかを判断するために、原作を読みました。ディープで非常に重く暗然たる世界観を躊躇なく描いているにもかかわらず、非常に多くの支持者を獲得しているという点で非常に興味深く、かつ共感できる何かが有ると感じて引き受けることにしました。

平沢進: もう10年以上も前になりますが、私は偶然ペルシャ語のWikipediaに自分の名前が有るのを発見しました。ペルシャ語は読めないのですが、そこに同時にBerserkの文字も発見しました。その時、私はBerserkというどえらい船に乗ってペルシャまで来てしまったという妄想に駆られて鳥肌が立ったものです。きっと私は自分では気が付かないまま、今もガッツと一緒に世界中を駆け巡っているのかもしれません。
